23 new BMW R 1250 RT-P motorcycles for Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Stuttgart, June 2019

In June the traffic police expanded its motorcycle fleet with 23 new police motorcycles and thereby continues to be set for all types of police operations. “Baden-Wuerttemberg constantly invests in its police force and thus in the safety of the state”, explains Interior Minister Thomas Strobl at the handover of the new blue-silver motorcycles before the “Neues Schloss” castle in Stuttgart.

Only the BMW R 1250 RT-P was able to meet the technical and functional requirements of the Baden-Wuertemberg police. For this reason BMW Motorrad was awarded the order without a call for competition. The BMW R 1250 RT-P models will function as a safe and state-of-the-art workplace on two wheels for the police officers as they monitor, direct and pilot traffic.

The BMW R 1250 RT-P also meet right environmental requirements regarding emissions. With a fuel consumption of under 5 litres per 100 km, it is an extremely economic vehicle across the board.
